Lentil soup شوربة عدس


Lentils have a high nutritional value that anyone can benefit from by incorporating this healthy legume into their diet,lentils contain the third-highest levels of protein. They are a good source of iron, which transports oxygen throughout your body and is key to energy production and metabolism, Although lentils include all these beneficial nutrients like fiber, protein, minerals and vitamins, they are still low in calories and contain virtually no fat. One cup of cooked lentils only contains about 230 calories, but still leaves you feeling full and satisfied.


Ingredients: المقادير

  • Half kilo red lentils

نصف كيلو عدس احمر

  • 4 Tomatoes 

اربع حبات طماطم

  • 2 Zucchini 

ثمرتين كوسة

  • 1 Carrot


  • 1 Potato

ثمرة بطاطس

  • 2 medium onions


  • 3 Garlic cloves

ثلاثة فصوص ثوم

  • 2 teaspoons salt

معلقتين ص ملح 

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

نصف م ص فلفل

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin

معلقة و نصف ص كمون

  • 3 cups low fat chicken broth

ثلاثة أكواب شوربة فراخ

  • 7 cups water

سبعة أكواب مياة


In a large pot, combine lentils, zucchini , broth, water, onion, carrot, potato,  garlic, cumin  and bring to a boil over high heat. Lower heat and simmer, uncovered, until vegetables are very tender and lentils begin to fall apart, about 25 minutes.

Remove the pot from the heat and use a blender or a food processor to quickly blend the soup until it is puréed.

Return back on the stove for a minute.

We can squeeze some lemon juice according to taste.

Serve with croutons on top as a garnish.

نضع جميع المقادير مع بعض فوق نار هادئة مدة ٢٥ دقيقة تقريبا

ثم نقوم بوضعهم في الخلاط لتصبح بيورية و نضع الشوربة مرة اخرى على النار لتغلي غلوة و نطفئ عليها النار، ممكن ان نضيف عصيرليمون عليها حسب الذوق

نحمص بعض من التوست او العيش الشامي في الفرن و يقدم مع الشوربة
